Milestones & Highlights
It's always part of my bucket list to play at Saguijo Cafe. About a decade ago I was here with my sister, cousin and girlfriend witnessing the earlier days of Ben&Ben and Shirebound and Busking. It was such a great vibe and the crowd was great. I told myself someday I will play here with my band. I even wrote "Scarlet Alley soon" in the toilet wall. This was the first thing I checked when I got back here last May 28, 2025. Sadly the parts of the wall faded and I forgot to bring a marker or sticker. Regardless, I was still excited as I was there to perform as the blue maroon. Special thanks to my friend Matthew Cartel who accompanied me as back up guitar and vocals for that night. My songwriter friend, Pepsi Ramos a.k.a. Daddy Pepsi, was also there who performed before me. My sister also showed up to support me with her friends. The crowd was still great but this time I see them from behind the microphone, and it just gave me so much energy and connected with everyone even the organizers and crew. Thank you Azpalto Productions for supporting rising independent artists for the opportunity to share my music. As sir Ronald said he was looking forward having me again in their line up next time. The Blue Maroon coming, not yet but soon.

Every step counts, and each step gets us closer to our goals and dreams. After a series of open mic events I joined, we finally booked my first gig as The Blue Maroon. Special thanks to my friend Pepsi Ramos, we got listed as one of the performers of "Long Sets" by Buhay OPM at 80th Tee Wang Cafe Bistro in Pasig City. It also featured 4 other artists: Lene Asuncion, Carmina, Pink Astronaut, Ria Alba. The audience got to some of our songs from the upcoming album.
